And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. 1 Kings 18:21 KJV
Through the course of human history, identifying the true God has been a recurring subject. This quest has led the innumerable number of gods Man in that bid has created for himself. This is the result and outcome of Man’s fallen nature.
At creation, God did not plan for Man to have any other knowledge than the knowledge of God alone. About God’s first commandment to Man in Eden, the Bible said, “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Gen. 2:16-17 KJV.
Notice, God’s caution, and commandment to Man was to refrain, refute, dissociate, distant and detach himself from interacting with the tree of the knowledge…a knowledge that will introduce or induct Man to other things than God. The rest about that caution is history today as Man allowed himself to be outwitted to gaining extraneous knowledge outside God. It is Man’s interacting with knowledge outside God that brought Man into the debacle depicted around and about the earth today. The state of the Earth is detestable, repugnant, and desperate.
At the fall, Man became so estranged from God that Man began to speak, use, and communicate words, language and vocabularies that are alien to God’s kingdom lexicon. For instance, Man said, “And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. Gen. 3:10 (KJV) and immediately God knew Man has meddled with other knowledge than was communicated to him by God that God said, “Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? Gen. 3:11 (KJV). At this instance, God knew that Man has corrupted himself with a foreign knowledge and would no longer be loyal neither can be trusted as Man has “joined” himself to another god and Man had to be cast out of God’s estate, Eden.
Beloved, this is the point, whatever god a man chooses to follow doth lead that man into some way. If one chooses The True God; He will lead one to Eternal life “Receiving the end of your (his) faith, even the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:9 KJV. In the case of Adam, the god he and Eve followed led them out of Eden. None of us shall be misled in Jesus Name. I choose the ONLY TRUE GOD (John 17:3)
