And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. (Luke 14:23)
House; is the specially furnished unit for the need and relaxation of the owner and residents. Described uniquely as one’s abode or dwelling, it is the natural resort and the identifying location of its occupants. House address is therefore an important part of everyone’s personal profile. It identifies one’s location, origin and resort. Everyone is traceable to a House.
The notion of House; representing a unique aspect of everyone’s personal profile therefore denote its importance and prominence. It’s the beehive of all personal and family activities, the pantry for personal wares, sartorial and treasurer. A resort and pillow Ville…no place is like one’s home. It is always a relief to return to one’s house.
About the house, the Bible says, “Through skillful and godly Wisdom is a house (a life, a home, a family) built, and by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation], And by knowledge shall its chambers [of every area] be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” (Prov. 24:3-4). It takes thoughtful and thought through activities to build, organize and decorate ones house and according to the Bible, it takes understanding to manage and establish it. Our houses to a good extent reflect our preferences and penchants. It’s our house and we live there.
It is cognitive to gain knowledge of God’s house also. God does have a place He may be found and to where He brings and treats His guest. About God’s House, David said, “Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man whom You choose and cause to come near, that he may dwell in Your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple. (Psalm 65:4) and n the parable, Jesus illustrated how desirous, God would have His house filled but how lightly man takes God’s invitation to come to God’s house.
Speaking ‘plainly’, The Church is the localized place to meet God; according to the Bible, Paul wrote to Timothy and said; “These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. (2 Tim. 3:4-5). The House of God is described as the Church of the living God.
It is common among us to still have one excuse or the other for not coming to God’s House despite special invitation. According to the Bible, “…they all alike began to make excuses and to beg off. The first said to him, I have bought a piece of land, and I have to go out and see it; I beg you, have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to examine and [e]put my approval on them; I beg you, have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and because of this I am unable to come.” (Luke 14:18-20 AMP). We must not be ignorant or ignoble of God’s special invitation to be His guest at His House as often as He does.
David understood the blessings of God’s House that he said, “…and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place. (Psalm 23:6b AMP). Beloved, gain value of being in God’s presence and never decline to come to His House. This is your Wisdom
