And they praised God because of me. (Gal. 1:24 NIV)
God is the Sovereign One. This is a mystery that is impracticable to unravel or comprehend except by revelation. Therefore, we must only trust Him to gain grace and understanding to settle and be comfortable in this grand truth. The Scripture says this of our Blessed God, maker, and owner of all things, “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:24:28 NIV)
Notice, God, made the world and everything in it; this must inform us that there is someone to whom and for whom all things relate. He has interest in all things, and He is concerned about all things that happens in our world; in fact “…all things were created by him, and for him” (Gal 1:16 KJV).
The import and impact of all things being for him is that He is pleased when anything He made for himself does well and He is displeased when anything He made for himself does not well. This must concern us being one created by him and for him.
In the initial world in the which Naoh and his family were extracted as survivors, God became very displeased about the then world and all things in it. About that then world, the Bible says, “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” (Gen. 6:5-7 NIV).
The important note is that when God is pleased, God takes pleasure in that very thing that pleases Him and the converse is equally as very truth; when God is displeased, God takes no pleasure in that very thing that displeases Him. Whatever pleases God, glorifies, or bring glory to God. Now, this is the purpose for which God makes all things…that they might bring Glory to Him. The Lord Jesus puts this thus, “…let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matt. 5:16 KJV). It is to and about this very thing that Saul would say… they praised God because of me
Beloved, this must be the legacy and importance tribute for our being child and/or minister of God… they praised God because of me (Gal. 1:24 KJV). Let’s be intentional about this track for living from this day forward. Amen!
