Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty. Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: (Psalm 104:1-2 KJV)
Dominion is the proof of God’s power. That God can subject all things under His control and command is the proof of the exceeding power of God. According to the Scriptures, “Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.” ( Psalm 66:3 KJV). To keep reign; God maintains Dominion.
When God made Man, the reason for which God made Man was to have Dominion here on earth. According to the Scriptures, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Gen. 1:26 KJV). The Dominion exercise of Man as ordained by God included…over all the earth. This is the high stake about which Man was made and for which Man was to operate. Sadly, Man was felled by the treacherous wiles of the adversary the devil.
After the resurrection of our Lord and blessed Savior Jesus Christ, the Bible records “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matt. 28:18-20 KJV). This is the reinstatement of Dominion to the Saints of God. But we have a duty to own and keep the Dominion Mandate so reinstated to us.
Beloved, to retain the Dominion purchased and delivered to us as Saints of God, we must (like God) be clothed with Light. The Bible puts this thus, Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works. Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment. (Eccl. 9: 7-8 KJV). The referenced “always white” is actually “always light.”. We must (now) conduct and direct all life’s demands while clothed with LIGHT to retain Dominion. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”. (1 John1:7 Be clothed in the LIGHT. Amen
