Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. (1 Cor. 15:33 KJV).
Deception is the bane, blight, and misery of our present world. It is about this despicable, disruptive, and destructive possibility that God warns, “Be not deceived…”. The realities and effect of deception underline and highlight the trends of happenings around and within the worlds’ communities.
Deception is defined as “the act of causing someone to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid” according to Webster. This is so aptly stated and sadly lightly understood. Scarcely do people curiously organize themselves from being deceived rather large companies are companions of droves being cheaply deceived. About the blight of deception scattered and spread across the nations of the earth, the Bible informs, “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” (Rev. 12:9 KJV). The Devil is identified as the author and driver behind the spread of deception across the breath of our world and his goal and essence is to make one accept as true or valid what is false or invalid.
At the initial and foremost encounter of Man with satan, Eve said, “The serpent, beguiled me and I ate”. This is the lesson and caution for each one of us to reel and deal with. We must learn and know how to identify, renege, and flee from the appeals and treats of the wicked to deceive. The Bible offers a rescue line when it says, “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” (James 1:25 KJV).
Beloved, the end of all satan’s entreaties is to destroy, regardless of his offer or offerings. Bible exhorts every man rather to flee all appearances of evil. (1 Thess 5:22 KJV). No one shall anymore be deceived in Jesus Name.
