Dearly Beloved,
Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? Bring him hither to me (Matt. 17:17)
God cannot tolerate faithlessness. The Bible says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” (Heb. 11:6).
The realm of God is the realm of Faith. God does all His works by faith. To do His works, He did not have to research what had been previously done for nothing had been before Him, He did not have to study to do anything because… the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge is of God! How unsearchable are His judgements, and His ways past finding out! (Romans 11:33), He does not have to set up a team or advisory board, “For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge?….(1 Cor. 2:16 AMP).
God is so “God” that He works by His Words. “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work and all His work which He had made. “ (Gen. 2:1-3) God rested from His Word-ing by which He was Work-ing and ….God ended His work
It is (now) understandable how God cannot bear or tolerate unbelief and how without faith no one can please, interact or have relation with God. In fact the Bible says, “… one that is unbelieving; who waivers, being unsteadfast and compromising cannot receive anything from God.” (James 1:6-7 adapted). Except we walk by Faith as God, we cannot work with Him akin to how a lazy person cannot work with a diligent person. These are simply incompatible. In the realm of Faith, God “…calls into existence the things that do not exist.” (Romans 4:17) and that is the realm of the Saints for …. For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there, ‘and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matt 17:20)
Lack of faith or faithlessness therefore is easily spotted or recognized by God. We cannot pretend to have Faith, the outcome of our profession of Faith easily verifies our Faith or lack of it. The disciples unable to perform a task had returned and privately asked the Lord Jesus Christ, “Why could not we cast him out?” (Matt. 17:19) The Lord was too instant and conclusive in His reply; He knew too well what could limit the work of the Saint in the Spirit, He knew instantly that unbelief is the contaminant of the work of faith….. He knew there was no iota of faith in the word of the disciples so they could not do the work.
“Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible unto you (Matt. 17:20)
All things are possible by faith… what do you say? Do you believe… and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Praise the Lord.
Today we trust the Holy Spirit to communicate life with our spirits and ignite fresh fire in our lives in Jesus Name.
I welcome you to LIGHTHOUSE…commissioned to give light.
