For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh (Romans 8:3 KJV)
We thank God for the keen and careful love He has for (us) Mankind. It is important that we know, understand and appropriate this God’s love for us as Humans. About this love type and nature, the Bible attests when it says, “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 AMP).
Consider the notation that describes God’s love for us; “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world…” and the extent God went to prove that love; “…that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish but have eternal life.”. This is a fearsome and relentless expression of God’s magnificent love for you and me. God did not hold back anything to secure our release from the grasp and hold of satan to prove His Love for us. This is a keynote. About this Love, the Bible further says “…and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself].” (Eph. 3:9 AMP)
It is to prove God’s love that moved God to move pass every dispensation to arrive at Grace that provided final, total and perfect reinstatement for Man into the inheritance Man lost in Eden. When this reinstatement occurred by the Grace that came by the Lord Jesus Christ, the Bible asserts, “And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.” (Luke 23:45-47 KJV). It was the rent-ing of the veil that culminated in the reinstatement of Man into God’s glorious inheritance by the Grace of God whereby we re-gained access to the presence of God hitherto lost in Eden when and where Man to cast out.
It is about the accomplishment of the feat of Grace, that the Bible now exclaimed: “For what the Law could not do [that is, overcome sin and remove its penalty, its power] being weakened by the flesh [man’s nature without the Holy Spirit], God did: He sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful man as an offering for sin. And He condemned sin in the flesh [subdued it and overcame it in the person of His own Son], so that the [righteous and just] requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not live our lives in the ways of the flesh [guided by worldliness and our sinful nature], but [live our lives] in the ways of the Spirit [guided by His power]”. (Romans 8:3-4 AMP)
Beloved, it is cogent, pertinent, germane, important, imperative, etc. for you and me therefore to grasp, comprehend and appropriate the exceeding riches of God’s grace usward who believe. Let’s give attention to the workings of Grace in our lives and extract its emolument to our benefit and advantage. As Apostle Paul said, “Be strong therefore in the grace that is in Christ Jesus”. (2 Tim. 2:1 KJV) Amen.
