Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. (Exo. 23:20 KJV)
We serve a good and purposeful God. To conceive that God is unintentional, obstructive, and impromptu about His works and judgments is to be ignorant, oblivious, and unaware of His nature and character. Unlike Man, God is all decisive, deliberate, and determined about His works and judgements. Beneath every of God’s work and judgement is a manifold layer of wisdom that makes His works and judgements irrefutable, irrevocable, and irretrievable. God does not “suffer” recall of His works neither had had to rescind His judgement. In all His judgements, God is both just and final.
About God and His works, the Bible says, “He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.” (Deut. 32:4 KJV). Everything God does is perfect, entire, complete in scope and intent. There’s nothing to revise, improve or edit about God’s work. It is eternal, total, and complete.
Concerning the basis for God’s work or judgement, the Bible asserts, “Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.” (Acts 15:18 KJV). Ever before God does any of His works, He knew what He would do from the beginning. In the journal of Man’s contemplation, an artistry as such is improbable to assimilate and difficult to contemplate. God knows all his works from the beginning of the world. It is therefore unto us (Man) that a matter or situation is new or premier but not with God. Nothing is suddenly, unplanned, or unintended, inadvertent with the God whom we must both fear, venerate, and revere.
For instance, Long before Israel of old ever was, talk less of their latter and eventual sojourn in Egypt, God said to Abram, the progenitor of the tribe and nation of Israel, “…Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.” (Gen. 15:13-14 KJV) This understanding must make each of us reverently consider God and fearfully accepts His truth and judgement. God is not flippant nor frivolous; God is Grand. Now, when God brought Israel out of Egypt, He alerted them, I am bringing “…thee into the place which I have prepared.” (Exo. 23:20 KJV). God was not unprepared about the next phase and port of destination for Israel, He hinted; “…the place which I have prepared.”
Beloved, God is not unintended nor unprepared about the turns and courses of our respective lives, rather He goes ahead of each of His own, following the chart He already had from the beginning and He is well on course leading to the place he had himself prepared. Unlike you and I, God is very familiar with all the turns and twists of life’s journey and for Him we are on course regardless, to a destination ahead and prepared. Enjoy the ride…Enjoy Life.
