And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, “There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.” Luke 12:56
Wind is one of Nature’s elements, like water, Earth (soil) and fire. These elements have a compelling and controlling effect on Earth’s perfect and orderly functions. Without these Nature’s element, Life and Living on Earth will be impervious and impossible.
As discerning Christians, we must strive to understand the spiritual parallel impact and implications of descriptive references in the Bible to appropriate the fortune derivable from the inferences. These is necessary and profitable.
The South wind is a unique wind attributed for bringing warmth (heat) after winter. It is the wind that ushers in the Spring, a season of plants’ refresh and bloom. It is the symbolic driver of pollens widely distributed across the Plant Kingdom to effect pollination that’s behind the spring and bloom of inert plants.
It is about this order of spring and blush that the Lord (in spiritual effect) cause the “south wind” to blow upon His people that each one might spring and spread in newness and freshness of endeavor.
About the empirical effect of the South Wind, The Bible says, “Awake, O north wind, And come, south wind [blow softly upon my garden]; Make my garden breathe out fragrance, [for the one in whom my soul delights], Let its spices flow forth. Let my beloved come into his garden And eat its choicest fruits.” SS 4:16 AMP. Notice, how by the South Wind, …my garden breathe out fragrance, [for the one in whom my soul delights], Let its spices flow forth.
The spices, fragrance, aroma and pleasantness in our respective and collective lives will flow forth this time in Jesus Name.
