Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Heb. 4:16 KJV)
Boldly, is an attribute of confidence, strength, and courage. It is a feature that makes one approach gallantry and triumphant. A factor of dominion and bravery, astute competence, and grace. Boldly, is God’s design and desire for a Christian in his/her approach to appropriate the Grace and Goodness of God.
A weapon of satan is intimidation. Notice, intimidation, is a derived from timid, a feeling of fear, hesitation, or lack of courage. Satan uses intimidation to refrain people from coming to the LORD.
As an accuser, satan derives strength and “advantage” when he presents facts and figures, not only to God to accuse the Saints or people but to the Saints and people also, to overwhelm them with fear, sense of guilt or worthlessness to disqualify one as a candidate for mercy and of help to God. Do not buy into the intimidation of satan.
Given, it is not the will of God that anyone should perish, a legal captive of satan or a victim of his caprice or whim rather God would that we know, understand and appropriate His provisions to counteract the ploy and intimidation of satan and obtain mercy instead.
The Bible exhorts thus, “seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Heb. 4:14-16 KJV).
Beloved, Jesus as our great high priest, has made provision for our reinstatement, the truth and knowledge of which makes the approach no longer timidly but boldly. Come now!
