For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, (Phil. 1:19 KJV)
Knowledge is a key and function factor in one’s conduct, practice, and expectation. It is knowledge evident by what is understood of a subject that drives competency and proficiency. About proficiency in the knowledge of God, the Bible affirms, “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits.” (Daniel 11:32 KJV). Notice the boisterous benevolence of grace derivable from the knowledge of God…strength and exploits. We get all things done through knowledge of God in a domineering and overpowering manner…because we know our God.
It is from the knowledge of God that Apostle Paul would derive the confidence and courage to expect what is apparently adverse would nonetheless… turn to my (his) salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. This is an important notice and mindset worthy of our emulation, practice, and adoption. As children of God, we must know and expect according to the WORD of God that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 KJV). It is cogent and sound however, to understand the impetus, stimulus, and driver for the turning of all things for good that we may gain truth about that expected outcome.
According to the witness of Apostle Paul, “…through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ”; “For I know that this shall turn to my salvation…”. We must be instant and continuing in prayer also embracing the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ; the prompting and communication of the Spirit of Christ to secure the turning point for the change for good we expect.
Beloved, “If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.” (John 13:17 KJV). Keeping ourselves in the love of God as we await the change that turns all thing for our salvation.
