Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, Even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. (Psalm 91:9-10 KJV).
God is our Habitation, a dwelling, an abode, a residence, and housing. This is a very important note and notice to every man. God is not, neither should be treated as a “place” one visits to claim blessings or make petitions. God is not a courthouse; to whom one comes because of the trails or threats of the pursuer. God is a dwelling place. The Bible says, “LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place In all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.” Psalm 90:1-2 KJV.
Life’s realities and experiences must have revealed the eminent truth about the precarious, despicable, and dreadful existence of evil and wickedness that besiege Man’s natural terrain called the earth. About this realism, the Bible says, “We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.” 1 John 5:19-21 KJV. Notice the reality of the whole worlds experience, “…the whole world is under the control of the evil one.” It is from this abysmal jeopardy the you and I, and everyone who is wise must seek refuge; an habitation and dwelling in God. One cannot and must not go in and out, playing truancy with God as a dwelling place. God is the only safe place on the planet earth.
Beloved, let us gain grace to abide, remain, continue in God as a dwelling place not a place we visit. Let God be our one, only and true address. The Bible says, “Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Psalm 91: 9-11 KJV. It is time to return to the PLACE of our wellbeing, God our dwelling place.
