Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. (Matt. 11:29)
Man is a living soul, and the desire of God is rest, assurance, and confidence for Man. When Man was created, God provided everything that Man needed, including guidance on how to preserve, protect and prolong his life and wellness. God assured Man of what constitute his “rest”.
The Bible says, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed…And the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” (Matt. 2:7-17 KJV).
Notice embedded and inherent in the Word of God to Man is the provision and preservation for his soul, Man was at rest, unmovable, safe, and secured by the Word of God. This is the premise and the boarders of every Man’s life and security. We are unmovable, unafraid and gallantry within the confines of God’s guidance and instruction.
It is about and upon this, that Jesus had said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matt. 11:28-29 KJV).
This is your rest.
