And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus. (Acts 22:11 KJV)
Light has glory and the more one is illuminated; the more glorious, colorful, opulent, splendid, magnificent, etc. one would become. Let us seek to gain Light.
About the God we serve and the Father we share, the Bible says, “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5 KJV), about the glorious intensity and splendor of His Light, the Bible says, “And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to give light to it, for the glory (splendor, radiance) of God has illumined it, and the Lamb is its lamp and light. The nations [the redeemed people from the earth] will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring into it their glory.” (Rev. 21:23-24 AMP). The City of God is lit by the Glorious intensity and the splendor of God’s illumination.
Beloved, Light adds color to our lives. Light illuminates our lives and brings us into relevance, significance and visibility. Consider, how relevant, visible and evident the Light of God is to the City of God, it so lit the City that, “the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to give light to it”. This notable significance of bearing and being Light must enthuse and motivate us to pursue, engage and retain the Light domicile in God. This Light is the notice and knowledge of the Holy God. The more of God we know, the more of God we become and the more of His Light we attract and reflect.
Moses, a man that was called up unto God at Sinai. He contacted and connected to God so much that he reflected Light (God) as he descended the Mount about which the Bible says, “When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hand, he did not know that the skin of his face was shining [with a unique radiance] because he had been speaking with God.” (Exo. 34:29 AMP). Notice, Moses’ face shone because he had been speaking with God.
The knowledge of God adds color, health and wellness to a person that one will truly shine. This is a faithful saying. The Bible further says about Moses, “When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to approach him.” (Exo. 34:30 AMP). This unique experience was also recorded about our Lord Jesus Christ upon the Mount described as the Mount of transfiguration of which the Bible says, “…Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.” (Matt. 17:1-2 KJV) and also of Stephen a man full of Faith and Power when being accused by the people, the elders, and the scribes, the Bible says, “And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.”(Acts 6:15). Indicative of Glory on the face and skin of a natural man as you and me.
Beloved, God does not intend nor design any of His children to be defaced, deprived or denied of glory, rather, the more of God we know and allow Him to illuminate our being, the more enveloped we are by the Light of His knowledge and Glory is the necessary result. “For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the glory and majesty of God [clearly revealed] in the face of Christ.” (2 Cor. 4:6 AMP) Awake to Light; gain Light through the knowledge of God, “It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.” (Prov. 3:8 KJV)
