The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. (Psalm 121:8 KJV)
Salvation is the keenest of God’s interest towards Man. God greatly delights in the Salvation of Man: He is occupied, consumed, passionate, eager etc. by this interest. Oh! How God is greatly delights in Man’s Salvation. Akin to parents’ passionate interest in the success and wellness of their children, so is God consumed about the Salvation of every Man. We need to gain this eagerness of God, embrace the same for our goodness sake and (also) forbear to impede anyone from Salvation rather facilitate, expedite and motivate every Man’s awareness of this boisterous interest to satisfy God’s keenest pursuit.
God desires that ALL men be saved. About this God’s consummate interest, Paul said to Timothy; “The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live. He wants not only us but everyone saved, you know, everyone to get to know the truth we’ve learned: that there’s one God and only one, and one Priest-Mediator between God and us—Jesus, who offered himself in exchange for everyone held captive by sin, to set them all free. Eventually the news is going to get out. This and this only has been my appointed work: getting this news to those who have never heard of God, and explaining how it works by simple faith and plain truth. (1 Tim. 2:1-7 MSG). Notice what Paul said about God, “He wants not only us but everyone saved”. We need therefore, in our quest to satisfy God, share with God, the importance of our personal salvation, embrace the notion, value it to the delightsome intent of extending same to others to the exhilarating delight of God.
Oh! How important it is to God that we (all) be free from all holding and hardship of the adversary…the devil. It is in the context and content of God’s priority interest that God in Christ would venture to nurture all men to the saving embrace of God’s grace including those that other men would consider not so deserving of salvation. Zacchaeus was a notable and notorious sinner in his community; he was tarnished and tainted, a sinner! About him and his encounter with Jesus the Bible recorded; “When Jesus reached the place, He looked up and said to him, “Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So Zaccheus hurried and came down, and welcomed Jesus with joy. When the people saw it, they all began muttering [in discontent], “He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a [notorious] sinner.” (Luke 19: 5-7 AMP).To the muttering and discontent of his people who had implied and are obscured by his being not deserving of God’s salvation, Jesus retorted; “Today salvation has come to this household, because he, too, is a [[b]spiritual] son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:9-10 AMP).
Beloved, the Cup of Salvation is God’s invitation to ALL Men to participate, partake, and share, in the glorious release from all adversities and adversaries. God is interested in our wellness and freedom. He just wants us WELL. This is His Cup (of Salvation) revealed and represented by our Lord Jesus Christ extended to every man that everyone who believes in Him should be saved. (John 3:16-17 KJV).
