But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, (Phil. 3:20 NIV)
God’s children are members or citizens of God’s Kingdom. This notice is important and required for us to benefit from this Kingdom’s rights, privileges and duties. As Children of God, we must never construe the Kingdom of God as some abstract, vague or unreal connotation or idea for mere mental accent to be mentioned or referenced only for discussion purposes; rather it is a real, true and existing Kingdom with eminent Structure, Rights and Privileges for its citizens.
The Bible was very clear about the existence, establishment and dominance of God’s Kingdom. The Bible further describes the conditions and rights for becoming a member and the glorious inheritance of its members. Concerning this Kingdom, the Lord Jesus advised us to pray; Our Father in Heaven…Let thy Kingdom Come! (Matt. 6:9-10 KJV). It is to this Kingdom that we become its members and citizens when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior; a provision by God for our redemption and reinstatement to His rule and reign in our lives.
John the Baptist was a man sent by God to herald His re-introduction or targeted “invasion” of this evil world in order to extract by redemption those who would believe in the Lord Jesus, moving them from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of God, the Bible says; “In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight” (Matt. 3:1-3 KJV). John the Baptist was sent as a fore-runner to announce, proclaim and notify mankind of the imminent introduction of a new order, culture and “nationhood” (Kingdom of Light) meant to raise and rescue Men from the depraved, debauched and despondent situation of mankind under the gruel and wicked manipulation of the kingdom of darkness. Jesus came to establish and uphold this Kingdom on the Earth.
Concerning Jesus, the Bible says, “…the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. (Isaiah 9:6-7 KJV)
This eminent rescue, was described in Col. 1: 11-14 NIV “…giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you[f] to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” This plan is represented by the Kingdom of God. A new grandiose order to exchange ill for wellness, darkness for light. The composition of this Kingdom must motivate our pursuit to participate and experience it.
Beloved, the Kingdom of God is come unto and Jesus cried, “seek ye first the kingdom of God…” (Matt. 6:33 KJV). We must desire it, seek it to inherit it. This is the glorious call unto every man who desires life and wellness; come out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light. Behold; God is calling you to His Kingdom
