But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: (1 Cor. 2:7 KJV) Wisdom is of God. God possesses Wisdom. The Bible says of Wisdom, “The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. “ Prov 8:22-24 KJV) God is the source and spring of God. The Bible identifies our God as the only wise God to whom be honor and glory for ever and ever. (1 Tim. 1:17 KJV). Honor and glory always accompany Wisdom. “The wise…”, the Bible says, “…shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools” (Prov. 3:35 KJV). Whenever we walk in the Wisdom of God, Glory is the natural result. Concerning the source of wisdom, the Bible says, “Where then does wisdom come from? Where does understanding dwell? It is hidden from the eyes of every living thing, concealed even from the birds in the sky. Destruction[b] and Death say, “Only a rumor of it has reached our ears.” God understands the way to it and he alone knows where it dwells, for he views the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens. When he established the force of the wind and measured out the waters, when he made a decree for the rain and a path for the thunderstorm, then he looked at wisdom and appraised it; he confirmed it and tested it. And he said to the Human race, “The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.” (Job 28:20-28 KJV). Notice the Bible says, “God understands the way to it and he alone knows where it dwells”. This is an important note about the source and spring of wisdom, the Bible further asserts that, “the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.” (Prov. 2:6 KJV) A pointer to the embrace and acquisition of Wisdom. “The Lord giveth wisdom”. As we relate, fellowship and interact closely with the Lord, the more of His nature and virtue we embrace and encounter. Notice also that, “out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”; The Word of God (…out of his mouth) is the crucible of knowledge and understanding. God does all His works by wisdom and so requires all His Children to walk in Wisdom. The Wisdom of God is a mystery; unknown and closed to a natural or brute, instinctual person rather it is open to the children of God who are Spirit filled and controlled. This wisdom of God is what God ordained for the promotion and glory of the Saints. It is the Wisdom of God that “makes one blameless and harmless… sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom we shine as lights in the world;” (Phil. 2:15 KJV). Beloved, let us walk closely and connected with the Lord that we may derive Wisdom “that is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” (James 3:17 KJV) This wisdom is the Wisdom of God ordained for the glory of the Saints. It is this Wisdom that differentiates the saints from the pack and makes us lead the pack. Praise the Lord!
