Thou, therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 Tim. 2:1 (KJV)
This charge by Paul to Timothy to “…be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 Tim. 2:1 (KJV) is a great expression of love and loving concern to Timothy on how best to make good of his salvation and Christian walk. The term Grace is the height and fullest delivery of God’s benevolence to Man to reconcile Man to Himself through Salvation and to Empower Man to meet, and fulfill the righteous requirements of His demands and commandments.
In every partnership, there are partnership demands, contributions, obligations and partnership benefits, emoluments, and privileges. To sustain the Partnership, each partner must submit and commit to the terms of the Partnership else there will be a natural dissolution of the treaty.
It was Man’s inability to keep the terms of his agency treaty with God that vitiated Man’s original Partnership with God in Eden. That Partnership treaty died. According to the Bible, “…God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.” (Gen. 6:12 KJV). The content and makeup of Man had been fatally altered, corrupted, and tarnished; God could not trust Man with His agenda on the Earth any longer; Man had become alien to God and taken alliance with the stranger.
It is therefore, to reverse, reinstate and restore Man to the initial and original plan of God predating Eden; when God conceive the idea on creating Man after His (God’s) image and likeness, that GRACE is introduced that Grace is introduced.
It is therefore incumbent on Man; composed of by each one of us to gain truth, understanding, and alignment with all that constitute Grace to retain and remain in the plan, partnership, and purpose of God for our respective lives. This was what Paul wrote to Timothy about when he said, “Thou, therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” (2 Kings 2:1 KJV)
Beloved, it is about being “…strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus” that we are being urged, admonished, and counselled this time; that we may fulfill all God’s gracious expectation for our respective lives’, Life, Ministries and Purpose. The Holy Spirit shall grant us understand in all things in Jesus Name.
